5. Cookies and Web Analytics

A cookie is a small text file that asks permission to be placed on your computer or other device by a web page that you visit. Once you grant permission, the cookie is stored on your device, where it tracks and collects data from your web browsing and sends that information back to the original website that placed the cookie.

The Octalogic Site uses cookies. Some cookies are only used if you use certain website features or select certain preferences, and some will always be used. As with all websites, Octalogic cookies are within your control.

You can generally activate or later deactivate the use of cookies through a functionality built into your web browser. You can adjust the privacy settings on your computer to permit or prohibit various levels of cookies being placed on your computer or your other device. Such privacy settings cannot be accessed by Octalogic and are solely your responsibility.

Note that if you elect not to activate the cookie or to later disable cookies, you may still visit the Site, but your ability to use some features or areas of the Site may be limited. Certain third-party advertising networks, including Google, permit users to opt-out of or customize preferences associated with their internet browsing.

In addition, your web browser may have a setting that allows you to automatically send a “do not track” message to the websites you visit. Octalogic does not currently have the technology to respond to do not track requests.

We also use another common tool called “on-site web analytics,” which is the measurement, collection, analysis, and reporting of data gathered while a person is online visiting a particular web page. On-site web analytics are used to understand how site visitors interact with a page so that, for example, the site may be improved.

While not limited to the aforementioned exclusions, Octalogic neither warrants nor represents that your use of the Site, any Software, Services, Content, or User Content will not infringe the rights of any third parties nor that any of the foregoing will be accurate, complete, or up to date.
