A cookie is a small text file that asks permission to be placed on your computer or other device by a web page that you visit. Once you grant permission, the cookie is stored on your device, where it tracks and collects data from your web browsing and sends that information back to the original website that placed the cookie.
Note that if you elect not to activate the cookie or to later disable cookies, you may still visit the Site, but your ability to use some features or areas of the Site may be limited. Certain third-party advertising networks, including Google, permit users to opt-out of or customize preferences associated with their internet browsing.
In addition, your web browser may have a setting that allows you to automatically send a “do not track” message to the websites you visit. Octalogic does not currently have the technology to respond to do not track requests.
We also use another common tool called “on-site web analytics,” which is the measurement, collection, analysis, and reporting of data gathered while a person is online visiting a particular web page. On-site web analytics are used to understand how site visitors interact with a page so that, for example, the site may be improved.
Please note that certain jurisdictions may not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you. While not limited to the aforementioned exclusions, Octalogic neither warrants nor represents that your use of the Site, any Software, Services, Content, or User Content will not infringe the rights of any third parties nor that any of the foregoing will be accurate, complete, or up to date. Additionally, with reference to any postings, submissions, and the like that may be on the Site, Octalogic assumes no responsibility or liability arising from any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane material, or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law contained in any such locations on the Site.
You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information on the Site in the following ways:
• When you are asked to fill out a form, click the box to indicate that you do not want the information used for direct marketing purposes if you have previously agreed to allow Octalogic to use your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change this at any time by writing to Octalogic or sending an email to email@example.com.
Octalogic will not sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to third parties without your permission unless we are required to do so by law. With your permission, we may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties we think may interest you.
Under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation and the UK’s Data Protection Act of 2018, you can request details of your personal information held by Octalogic. To request this information, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
